Equipment

Image Acquisition

The first thing your viewers will notice is image quality. Whilst it is by no means the only thing that effects perceived production values, it certainly has a big influence.

That's why I use the amazing Sony EX3. This camera has rapidly become a benchmark for events, documentary and narrative filmmakers around the world, due to it's stunning resolution and image quality.

Audio

Any kind of film production is, at least, equally reliant on good quality audio as image quality. I use a fully wind-shielded, industry standard, shotgun microphone which is perfect at isolating a speaker and recording clear dialog, be it in a studio or outside in a gale!

Advanced Camera Support

This is what really separates me from most independent ’operator + camera’ filmmakers. I have a variety of tracking and crane equipment which lets me shoot really cinematic shots and instantly raises production values and lets your viewers know they are watching something a bit special.

My biggest jib (crane) will effortlessly float the camera from ground level to 17' in the air, whilst letting me adjust the cameras tilt angle throughout. You can see this in use in my film 'Paradise Found'.

Post-production

This is where it's possible to make or break a production. Reasonable footage is often let down by poor editing and overuse of cross-fades. I relish the task of editing 'invisibly', letting the shots tell the story in the most effective way.

I use the latest Final Cut Studio suite of post production software, which includes Final Cut Pro as well applications for colour correction and detailed audio mixing. All of which I will use to really polish your film.
